The first ninety days after the badge
What to do with nine repositories and a habit of shipping, in the order that compounds fastest.
Pick one of the things you built and take it further than an exercise: real users, even ten, and the maintenance that follows. A project with issues filed by strangers and a changelog says more than five clean repositories, because it is evidence of the part of the job that is not building.
Then keep the write-up habit. It is the cheapest professional advantage available: a short honest post per project, published somewhere indexed, accumulates into the thing people find when they look you up. The people who get contacted are almost always the ones who wrote something down.
Finally, go and read code you did not write and did not generate. Contribute a small fix to something you use. It closes the loop the course opened in Phase 00: the ability to open unfamiliar work, understand it, change it carefully, and be trusted with it.
You should now be able to
- Choose the next project on evidence of your own gaps
- Turn a portfolio of exercises into something someone hires
