Before and after, with the decisions named. This is the artifact that gets you hired, and almost nobody writes one properly.

  • Side-by-side before and after images at the same width
  • At least six named decisions with the reasoning for each
  • Counts stated: type sizes, spacing values, colours, before and after
  • Contrast results included as measured numbers
  • One decision you got wrong and reversed, described honestly

Nobody marks this for you. It goes into your phase checkpoint, where a person does.

You should now be able to

  • Present a redesign as a sequence of reasoned decisions
  • Show measurable improvements rather than claiming them
  • Write about your own work without marketing language
